About Me

I live in an outer borough of NYC, and I watch a lot of documentaries.

  1. Thanks for visiting my blog today. I am enjoying reading yours, which has captured my attention in so many areas. First, you live in a borough of New York, and we have family in Brooklyn and Queens (my husband was born in Manhattan and lived in Queens until he was 11). Second you have seven children, which I expect here in the South but not so much up there. Also, you like Star Trek, television and documentaries. Can’t relate to skinny, but I am lazy about mopping. I look forward to reading more.

  2. Thanks for stopping by my blog, nice to meet you! I hate spiders, don’t know how you handled living in a house with too many spiders, that would have driven me insane!

  3. Too many spiders. That is funny. Isn’t one too many? Serously growing up, my house was so full of spiders we never needed any insect repellent. Despite living in roach invested Alabama there was never a single cockroach found in my home.

    • One of the best documentaries I’ve ever seen is “My Flesh and Blood.” That one surprised me as I wasn’t expecting much. Don’t read spoilers and brace yourself, it’s gutting. There are many others I’d recommend, I have a documentary tag in the list of topics.

  4. Speaking of spiders…we lived in an old farmhouse in Belgium for a couple years while in the military and every night, at around 8 pm, a large (and I mean LARGE) spider would run across the floor of our TV room. After the 2nd time, I couldn’t kill it, I was too fascinated by the precision and consistency of its schedule. BTW, thanks for following! It looks like I will enjoy reading your blog as well!

    • That reminds me of the cat that knew if its owner was going to make a turkey or bologna sandwich BEFORE the fridge door was open and would sit by for scraps accordingly (the cat only liked turkey), even if the owner didn’t say a word about his plans!
